“Sue’s unwavering dedication to this community is truly inspiring,” said Sydney Lawson, Executive Director of the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. “She leads with heart, truly cares about people and the community and embodies the very spirit of service. We are honored to recognize her contributions and the lasting impact she has made in our community.”
In accepting the award, Sue stated, “"We are better together. Not only do I see that, I feel that. I have the honor of spending my time with like-minded and community-driven people like each and every one of you. I don’t consider myself a hero of any sort. Frankly, I consider myself a constant work in progress working to make the community better together.”
Sue has been a vital part of Huron Valley State Bank since 2018, serving as Senior Vice President, Regional Manager of Retail Banking. In this role, she oversees the retail side of the bank including business development, consumer lending, customer relations and corporate security.
Her commitment to the Lakes Area extends far beyond banking. Sue has been actively involved with the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce for many years, serving as Chamber President from 2019 to 2022.
