Huron Valley State Bank's "Soup-er Bowl" Drive Nourishes Community with 450 Cans of Soup

Huron Valley State Bank proudly announces the success of its annual "Soup-er Bowl" drive, benefitting the Open Door Outreach Center (ODOC). Throughout February, bank employees rallied together to collect donations, resulting in an impressive tally of over 450 cans of soup to support families in need within the community.

The initiative, named "Soup-er Bowl," commenced the week leading up to the Super Bowl, inviting both employees and community members to participate by predicting the game's winning team through soup donations. Employees and customers could cast their votes by placing cans of soup representing their chosen team into collection baskets stationed at the Milford and Highland branches, as well as the Financial Center.

Eric Shubitowski, Compliance Analyst expressed his pride in the program's success, stating, “It’s been remarkable seeing this drive become a yearly thing at the bank, and everyone stepped up their efforts to make this year the best yet.”

The "Soup-er Bowl" drive was orchestrated by the bank's marketing committee, comprised of Lisa Brow, Sara Klepinger, Joan Green, Sheri Miles, and Eric Shubitowski, reflecting the collective efforts and dedication of the bank's staff toward making a positive impact.

Dawn Danhausen, Marketing & Development Director of Open Door Outreach Center, expressed gratitude for the substantial support received from Huron Valley State Bank, emphasizing the significant impact these donations will have on local families. "We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Huron Valley State Bank for their unwavering commitment to our community. The variety of soup options collected will undoubtedly provide much-needed nourishment and relief to those facing challenging circumstances," said Danhausen.
