Huron Valley State Bank Promotes Edward C. Barrett to Vice President / Credit Manager

Milford, MI, June 2014 – Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO of Huron Valley State Bank, is pleased to announce that Edward C. Barrett has been promoted to Vice President / Credit Manager. In his new position, he will be responsible for managing credit functions for the commercial banking group.

Barrett joined the team at Huron Valley State Bank in 2007, as Assistant Vice President / Commercial Banking Officer. With over 20 years of banking experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to commercial banking and credit management. One of his biggest accomplishments is starting up the credit department and building it to a knowledgeable group within the bank.

"This promotion is well deserved," said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO. "Ed has deep knowledge and expertise in commercial banking, credit and customer service, and will help increase the efficiencies in the bank's credit operations."

He earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University, with an emphasis on Finance and Accounting. Barrett is a member of the BNI Group of Commerce and an avid volunteer for community events offered by the bank.
