Huron Valley State Bank Mentorship Program
Huron Valley State Bank is proud to announce the launch of its new mentorship program, developed by Sue Bowen and Marie Warner to support employee career development, enhance leadership skills, and foster meaningful professional relationships.
This initiative, currently in its early stages, was designed to provide employees with guidance from seasoned mentors who can help them navigate their career paths and strengthen their skills.
“We recognized the importance of investing in our employees' professional growth,” said Sue Bowen, Vice President of Mortgages. “This program is a way to create valuable connections and provide the support needed to help our team members reach their full potential.”
The program's development followed a structured approach. Sue and Marie first presented the concept to the Employee Engagement Committee, then conducted an internal survey to gauge interest. After identifying and pairing mentors and mentees, the program officially launched with a kickoff luncheon. Each mentor-mentee pair signed a confidentiality agreement and committed to meeting monthly, with progress updates provided to Sue and Marie.
“Our goal is to create an environment where employees feel empowered to develop their skills and take the next step in their careers,” said Marie Warner, Vice President and Commercial Lender. “We are excited to see the positive impact this program will have on our team.”
