Employees at Huron Valley State Bank hosted a pet food drive from March 26 until April 4th.  A trunk full of pet food donations were collected, along with $117 in monetary donations.  All donations were given to Community Sharing Pet Pantry located in Highland, Michigan.

Once a month, Huron Valley State Bank holds a special Casual for a Cause (Jean’s Day).  This program allows employees to wear jeans in exchange for providing a donation for the designated charitable cause.  The causes are either for an individual in need or a large-scale community program.  The employees that organized the program are part of the bank’s marketing committee comprised of Nancy Gomez, Rebecca LeDuc, Sheri Miles and Eric Shubitowski.

“We chose Community Sharing Pet Pantry because many pet owners are in great need during these tumultuous times,” said Sheri Miles, Marketing Director, “The Pet Pantry has provided many pet owners the opportunities to keep their pets due to unforeseeable circumstances.  We are happy to help provide nourishment and support.”

“I have been with the bank for thirteen years and we are all about community and giving back since the bank opened its doors in 2005,” said Nancy Gomez, Assistant Branch Manager.
