Huron Valley State Bank Employees Complete Stop the Bleed Training Wednesday, December 18, 2019 / Categories: Community Involvement, Press Releases Huron Valley State Bank partnered with the Milford Fire Department this year to offer important lifesaving training to its employees. Earlier in the spring, bank employees completed CPR and AED training. Then this past October, they completed Stop the Bleed training. Both were conducted by Amy Goan, Assistant Chief of the Milford Fire Department. In addition, the bank recently purchased automated external defibrillator (AED) devises for its branches. “Stop the Bleed is a national campaign to train bystanders how to help stop uncontrolled bleeding before emergency medical help arrives. Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of preventable deaths; taking vital steps to stop bleeding in an emergency can help save and sustain someone’s life,” said Amy Goan, Assistant Chief of the Milford Fire Department. “It is great Huron Valley State Bank has employees trained in both CPR and Stop the Bleed.” “Having our employees armed with knowledge and training to help save a life is critical when working with the public. We look forward to offering even more types of training like this to our employees so we can better serve the community,” said Susan Vanderwill, Vice President, Regional Branch Manager.
