/ Categories: Press Releases

Huron Valley State Bank contributed $5,000 to Friends of Downtown Highland to demonstrate support of the “Chill at the Mill” to be developed on the property of the Highland Township Public Library.  A big check was presented at The Highland White Lake Business Association monthly coffee hosted at the Highland Township Library on Friday, September 13.

“The donation to Chill at the Mill represents our commitment to Highland Township,” said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO of Huron Valley State Bank. “We are excited about the project and look forward to having the history of our community come to life and be visible to family and friends for years to come.”

Chill at the Mill will celebrate the history of the community, while providing educational opportunities as well as interaction with Highland Township’s native monarch buttery population.  The play space will appeal to children of all ages and be surrounded by vegetation for people to sit, relax and enjoy nature.   A replica of the Spring Mills Flour Mill will provide educational space and restrooms.
