Huron Valley State Bank Announces the Promotion of Melissa Herron to Bank Officer
Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO of Huron Valley State Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Melissa Herron to Bank Officer. Her new title is Cash Management Officer and she is responsible for developing a strong relationship between operations, retail and the commercial lending team to create a link between the bank's product offerings and the needs of business customers. Herron serves as a resource for all their cash management needs and remote deposit capture services.
Herron has over 18 years of banking experience. She started her career in financial services as a Teller, and later took a position with Research Federal Credit Union (now Community Choice Credit Union) as a Member Service Representative. When the opportunity to work in her hometown for a growing community bank became available, she joined Huron Valley State Bank in May of 2007 as a Customer Service Representative. She was promoted to Supervisor in 2011 and then Assistant Manager of the Highland Branch in 2012. Four short years later she was promoted to Cash Management Specialist.
“As a long-time employee of the bank, Melissa has consistently shown outstanding customer services skills, product knowledge, and sales skills. She has gained expertise in deposit and cash management services and has helped grow that business line for the bank. Always a team player, Melissa jumped into the middle of the Paycheck Protection Program and became a valued resource for many of our business customers during this difficult time. We are grateful for her contributions to the bank,” Jack Shubitowski President and CEO added.
"I appreciate the confidence expressed through this promotion. I am delighted by this opportunity to continue to serve the bank and our team in this position," said Melissa Herron.
Outside of work, Herron loves camping, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
