Huron Valley State Bank Announces the Appointment of James Thibodeau to Vice President of Technology

Huron Valley State Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of James Thibodeau to Vice President of Technology. In his role, he will be responsible for the bank’s technology and information security initiatives. In addition, he will oversee the development and execution of the bank’s strategic technology plan, providing in-house technology support and solutions, and helping with the implementation of various project and initiatives.

Mr. Thibodeau joined the team at Huron Valley State Bank in April of this year. He has over 36 years of community banking experience, 25 of those in information technology. He most recently served as Information Technology Officer at First National Bank in Howell.

“We are grateful to have James on our team. He brings a wealth of knowledge in information technology and cybersecurity,” said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO. “He will serve a critical role in executing our technology plan and manage all aspects of our technology infrastructure.”

“My entire career has been spent in Community Banking, and I feel right at home at Huron Valley State Bank. I am grateful to bring my IT experience to the bank and help with the many projects and initiatives now and on the horizon” said Thibodeau. Mr. Thibodeau lives in Howell and has two grown children. He enjoys golfing and riding side-by-sides in Northern Michigan. He is an avid sports fan, especially watching Detroit Tigers baseball.
